Holiday Cheer

With the holidays nearly here (tomorrow is Christmas Eve?!) I wanted to share one of my favorite looks from this season. I wore this outfit for a holiday work event, but it could easily substitute for any holiday party you will be attending to celebrate. I chose a subtle pink to stand out against all of the red, green and gold that are staples during this time of year. I wanted something flowy and fun to break out against the classic structure of most of my work attire, but still leave a classic blazer and pump for a class factor. I spruced up the simple black and pink palate by adding just enough sparkle with my head band (Similar) and necklace (which I recently purchased from Stella & Dot and just adore!). It's easy to go over kill when you want to look festive this time of year, but when everything around you is so elaborately decorated (like this amazing tree display) you tend to stand out more if you chose an elegant and simple look.

For my make-up, I chose a simple nude palate. My eye shadow is a shimmer pale pink that I used to illuminate my upper brow and lid with brown accent in the crease. To help them stand out even more, I decided to give myself a cat-eye using my my favorite Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner. My lips and checks I used The Multiple by NARS in their Luxor shade. It is a great addition to your make up bag when you want a cohesive nude look.

Hope the holidays are fabulous to you all this year!

Xx Katie
