So I have been anxiously awaiting for the Altuzarra for Target collection to be released (my favorites from the collection are these) since they showed the first pictures of it. You best believe that at 2 am I was on targets website trying to get my hands on the booties! Well, after a half hour of relentlessly playing around with the target website from my phone (while out on the town with some girl friends) I was able to successfully purchase them. I could not wait to get them! Since fall is here to stay I borrowed one of Katie's flannels, threw on a pair of skinny jeans, grabbed my new sunnies (I lost my favorite green ones in LA, sad face) and was out the door to break in my new booties! I got so many compliments on them so I know I made the right decision to purchase them. A girl can never have too many shoes ;)!
The start of this weekend brought beautiful fall leaves so I decided to take advantage of them before meeting some friends. Saturday's and Sunday's during the fall mean frequent football watching and I decided to dress a little more festive for some of the college games. All of the most viewed games happen to be Big10 schools now that I'm back in the midwest, doesn't anyone here share my love for the pac 12? I figured if you can't beat em' join em. I love having a neutral outfit with a pop of color and this coral scarf was a great addition to spice it up a bit. Although the team your rooting for may not win, it's always nice to feel good in what you're wearing and rep them anyway. Even though it wasn't college football, let's just all forget about that Bears loss yesterday, yeah?
It's FriYAYYYYY! I'm in New York City for the weekend and I could not be more excited! Not only do I get to see Matt, but I am also there for a fun project for the blog. Be sure to follow us on instagram for a special sneak peak of what it could be :).
Recently, I was introduced to this brand called Show Me Your Mumu. It's a boho babes dream! I first fell in love when I got their Ry Ry wrap kimono (styled here) and have been hooked ever since. I have since added this baby doll dress in Nevada Nights (which I want in every print) to my Mu collection. I paired it with some cutout booties and a jean jacket. To make it a little more fitted, I belted it with a skinny patent leather belt. To add some bling I wore a statement necklace from BCBG (that I stole borrowed from my mom) and a BCBG leather bracelet. Since it was windy and rainy all day I decided to wear a fedora to try and tame my mane from becoming a frizzy mess!
Every once in a while I like to treat myself, and usually turn to fun accessories or shoes...ok always. I had been searching for the perfect wide brimmed floppy hat for so long and fell in love once I came across this one on Sosie.com. It's great because it's not too big and fits my smaller framed face well - I just had to have it. Also, the site gives a 20% off gift code when you initially sign up! Score. I was feeling particularly needy for coziness the day these pictures were taken because the day took a turn for the worst and decided to rain and be super cloudy. This Old Navy mini cowel neck sweater was just the trick. I am loving this store lately for fall because of all of it's great knit wear, plus, it's really affordable! You may also have seen these Aldo heels on our Instagram, I've been constantly wearing them ever since I got them. They are surprisingly comfortable and the neutral pattern makes them very versatile. Shoes and accessories are the best ways to treat yourself, as far as I'm concerned.
Happy Hump Day!! On this lovely wednesday I am teaming up with the gorgeous Ginger from The Southern Statement. She is such a sweetheart and has amazing style. As fall is upon us we decided to share how we style a classic piece, the blazer:
For my look I decided to wear my light skinny jeans from zara (also styled here) with a casual tee shirt. I got this tee from my rad babes at rad and refined (and styled it here as well) and its so comfy I practically live in it! I've also been living in these Just Fab blue heels (well at least on the weekends). They're surprisingly comfortable and I constantly am getting complimented on them. For jewelry I went with this gorgeous statement necklace from Accessory Fanatic as well as stacking two bracelets from Accessory Fanatic as well. Thanks to them I able to continue to style my life in a sparkly and fabulous way.
Be sure to head over to Gingers blog, The Southern Statement, to get the details on how she styled her blazer. And be sure to follow her blog, her posts are amazing. My favorite is her 10 tips on surviving a Long Distance Relationship. She's fortunate enough that her LDR is over (we bonded over this) but her advice is spot on and things Matt and I use in our LDR as well. And her Texan southern flare makes her style posts amazing as well!
