The truth can be hard to swallow, but let's just all admit that Tuesday can be a little worse than Monday when it comes to the most hated day of the week. It's closer to Monday than Friday and is the day just before we can consider it the middle of the week, leaving us in weekday limbo. Tuesday can get a bad wrap, especially when it's paired with the end of a beloved season like summer. I wanted to try and brighten my mood up with this floral and chambray shirt duo. I've had this skirt in my closet for a whileeeee, like a really long time, and I found it when I did some digging (looking for something else none the less) the other day. I couldn't wait to wear it again and this outfit was a perfect send off to summer. It's still summery with its colorful floral print, yet it says hello fall, I'm ready for ya! by incorporating a heavier structured shirt. I have to say, summer, you've been good to us Chicagoan's, maybe too good (which makes me suspicious for the kind of fall we may have) and as happy as I am to welcome a new season, I'm still sad to see the warm summer nights go. So here's goodbye to bikini's and beach hair to hello multiple pumpkin spice lattes and cozy knit sweaters.
