Happy hump day all! I'm back in freezing cold chicago (sad face) and sharing this delicious cookie recipe. My mom and I love trying new recipes and this one is definitely one we are going to recreate often. Caramel fudge turtle cookies!
Ingredients
Reynolds Parchment Paper
1 Pouch Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
Cutter & Egg called for on the cookie mix pouch
2 Tablespoons all purpose flour
30 caramels, unwrapped (original recipe calls for 12)
1 Tablespoon Milk
1 Cup hot fudge topping
Pecan halves (roughly 30)
Directions:
1. Pour the sugar cookie mix into a mixing bowl
2. add the butter required on the mix pouch
3. add the eggs required by the cookie mix pouch
3. Mix it all together
4. Add the flour
5. Mix in the flour
6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls
7. Place them about 2 inches apart on reynolds parchment paper lined cookie sheets
8. Baked at 375 from 11 - 12 minutes
9. Take them out to cool
10. Unwrap the caramels and put them in a bowl
11. Add milk to the bowl
12. Microwave the bowl on high from 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds
13. Stir until the caramels are melted
14. Dip one side of each cookie at an angle into the caramel to cover half of the cookie
15. Place about 1 teaspoon of fudge topping on the top of each cookie
16. Place a pecan half on top of the fudge topping
17. Let set for about 15 minutes and enjoy the delicious cookies!
