With Spring just within our grasp, I'm really feeling anxious to change up my hair color, although I have to say I'm a little chicken of getting rid of the blonde completely. I told Brittani I was trying to keep the blonde, but still wanted to change it up and she mentioned this little thing called baylage. Baylage is a subtle natural highlighting that enhances your all over color and doesn't start at the root. After going on a Pinterest spree of this style, her and I are now dying to try it! Your stylist will free hand the positioning of your highlights rather than use foil to put them into place. I love a natural sun kissed look and this technique is great at toning down your all over color while still giving it highlight. Baylage has really been around for forever (hello 1980's!) but I am glad to see it re-surfacing as a more natural to lighten hair. The above styles are just a few of my favorites and some I will be trying to recreate at my next salon appointment!
