This past weekend I ventured out to the West Loop for brunch with a friend, and I fell in love with the area. It's fun, upbeat, and the restaurant row on West Randolph st. was to die for. We ate at Bar Siena, which has the cutest patio with string lights. I would highly recommend their Bloody Mary's and Avocado Toast (pictured below). This wall art caught my eye during our meal and I just had to use it as a backdrop. It was feeling a little more like fall that morning so I threw on my Rachel Roy anorak that is so soft and comfy I may never take it off.
Happy little Friday! If I have to accept that fall is upon us (even though its been super hott here in LA) I figured I'd share my favorite pattern for fall: plaid! Whether it be a dress, a shirt, a scarf or a jacket, I'm mad for plaid! Below are some of my favorites for this fall that range in prices from $10 up! Shop away:
I am loving all things fall, but some new styles may set us back farther than our wallets would like. Below are my favorites selections of Fall styles that won't break the bank!
Neutral cord or suede skirt
I love this trend for fall. The structure of the cord or suede is perfect for fall and the camel/tan colors contrast go with almost anything. I would recommend Zara's or Top shop's selection for quality style on a budget:
I love chunky sweaters, but the turtleneck is making a come back. I love the cozy, wrap feeling this sweater gives. The ribbed texture also adds dimension that is perfect for fall. J.Crew is having a 25% off sale on sweaters today!
Note to self: when its a cloudy day mid-sunset and your uber is waiting out front for you thats not the ideal time to take pictures. But I loved this outfit so much that I had to still share them with you! I'm not ready to accept that its fall weather and this LA heat isn't helping! On Saturday night we headed to Manhattan Beach for a double date night with some of our good friends. Because of the heat I opted for this Show Me Your Mumu bella dress and a pair of booties! It definitely was the right call for the occassion! So here's to refusing to accept it's fall and holding on to summer for as long as I can!
After taking a little hiatus, we're back in full swing! I was vacationing in Arizona through Labor day and basically lived in this romper. I loved the fun floral print for the end of summer. I took a trip to Tucson to visit my alma mater, the University of Arizona, and had so much fun walking around town and have a trip down memory lane with friends. I have to say, going back is a little bittersweet after three years but it was great to see old faces and some new additions to campus! Hoping you all have a great start to the week.
My Romper pictures is no longer available, but here are styles that mimic the piece!
