Beauty Product Sample Review

We all love to receive the little samples that we get when purchasing out necessary beauty products, but how many times do you actual take the time to try them out instead of finding them at the bottom of a drawer a month later? Since becoming a Sehpora VIB (thanks to much product obsessions) I've been receiving more and more samples in my bag when I leave the store. I decided to try them out instead of throw them to the way side, and give some feedback on my experience.

I received the above products in my bag for March and there was a clear focus in facial health and rejuvenation. Although I don't exactly need fillers or peels it at my age, it never hurts to try an over the counter version that may be less harsh.

Up first...

Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Alpha Beta Peel: Since this is a peel, I will warn against using if you have sensitive skin. It did sting, but that's to be expected since the product is meant to peel off a layer of skin. Overall, my skin felt extremely soft after use and although I have no fine lines that I can vouch for, it did help with minimal acne scaring. However, if you don't have any visible scares or lines on your face, I'd say you can skip this product.

Dr. Dennis Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Peel: This product goes along the same lines as the first Dr. Dennis peel. The only difference is use of retinol in this peel. Retinol works as a chemical exfoliator and induces collagen production. This is also not a need of mine, but I did notice a more even skin tone and if you're looking to replace collagen loss, this may be a good fit for you (especially since the price tag is much cheaper than derm procedures.)

Dr. Brandt, Needles no more: With the saying, needles no more, I think we can all agree this sounds like the least scary option. Again, if you're looking for a more plump completion and to smooth skin, this is another great option that doesn't take you to the dermatologist's office. Since I don't have many fine lines, I can't vouch for that aspect, however my skin looked brighter and felt firm after a week of use.

Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Moisturizer: Now this product I loved for morning use. With the word energy in the title, I was excited to see if it made a difference in my morning routine. Surprisingly it gave me the right glow I wanted that lasted throughout the day. It goes on smooth and doesn't feel to heavy, while still leaving my face feeling moisturized.

Fresh Soy Cleanser and Rose Face Mask: What I love most about the Fresh brand is how natural it's products feel. When I wanted to take a break from chemicals, this line is a great way to smooth and refresh my skin without the harshness of peels. Since both of these products use rose extract, my skin immediately lost it's red undertones and looked more healthy and firm. What I love most about the Fresh rose face mask is it's formula, you can smell the tea and cucumber ingredients and there are actual rose petals used in the mask. I used these two products together since they go hand in and and they are both something I will consider putting into my weekly rotation.

I have yet to make my monthly visit for April, but stay tuned for more product sample reviews coming up! If you liked this post and want to see more, please comment below!
