Framed Face

Although I don't have a necessity for glasses everyday (I wear a prescription that is for prolonged computer use and up close reading), I couldn't resist trying out David Kind's at home glasses try on. When a stylist reached out to me to work with her on finding my perfect frame, fit and color, I was all in! Let me start by saying that their glasses are a great mix of vintage, chic and modern. When browsing their site for my picks, I had a hard time choosing just three pairs for my try on, as they all caught my eye for different reasons.
As it turns out, I have great taste in design, but had no idea what would actually be flattering on my face. Two out of the three picks I finally settled on weren't the best fit for me, however my stylist, Sami, was spot on with her picks. To get a better understanding of what I'm talking about, the steps for David Kind's at-home try on are all listed below. If you want to try it for yourself use code

The best part about David Kind's program is that it is all online, which not only makes it convenient but easily accessible. You can reach out to your stylist at any moment via e-mail and send photos (in my case selifes) to gain their insight for your best look. Their stylists are attentive and knowledgeable opticians that are able to guide you and all of David Kind's glasses are designed in Los Angeles and made and manufactured to the highest quality in either Italy or Japan - so you know you're getting real quality! I could see this in the feel and structure of each pair of glasses just by picking them up.

I loved many of my stylist Sami's picks, and ultimately decided on these over sized, two-toned specs. Their vintage yet work chic feel were perfect to my aesthetic and framed my small face without being too overwhelming.

How it all works:

a) Sign up with David Kind, choose three frames that you would like to try on, then fill out a questioner about your style and sizing preferences and so that your stylist can choose 3 pairs of glasses for you.

b) Receive a beautifully crafted cork box with your six pairs of glasses to try on for 6 days. Totally free shipping.

c) Try on your glasses, wear them around for a few days to get the right feel and e-mail photos to your stylist for feed back. When you make your final decision, send back your box with all of your feedback written feed back (see above), your prescription and e-mail your selfie with your chosen pair on to your stylist for sizing.

That's it! You will receive your brand new glasses with your prescription in five to ten days. It couldn't have been more easy or convenient for me and I know you'll enjoy this process just as much as I did. Let me know how your at home try on goes in the comments below!
