Striped Shirt Dress

The shirt dress just might be my favorite fashion statement ever. It's my go-to for work just as much as it is for happy hour, or girls brunch. Back when Nordstrom was having their annual anniversary sale, I knew I had to grab this Wayf Lace-Up shirt dress before it sold out. The vertical stripes are too perfect for my small frame as they make me appear taller than I actually am (my goal with almost any outfit).

It also comes in army green (see it here), but I loved the stripe pattern too much to it pass up. In order to give it more dimension on my small figure, I added a belt to synch in the waist, which was a great way to tie in my tan suede booties. The lace up trend is definitely here to stay and since this dress is fairly long and long sleeved, it's a great detail to have.

Is anyone else as excited for fall as I am? Although I love that summer is still lingering around a little bit longer, this weekend was just too hot and humid. I'm ready for a crisp breeze and color changing leaves (I'll probably regret saying this in a month).
